Who is Aston Merrygold?

Aston Merrygold was born on 13 February 1988 in Peterborough.

He is best-known for being a member of the band JLS, which first came to prominence as runners-up in The X Factor in 2008.

The other members were JB Gill, Oritse Williams, and Marvin Humes.

JLS sold over ten million records worldwide and had five number one hits.

After five years JLS split up in December 2013.

In 2013, Aston Merrygold became a judge on  the talent show Got To Dance for Sky 1.

Aston Merrygold's debut solo single Get Stupid was released in 2014 and went platinum.

Further singles followed.

In September 2017, Aston Merrygold revealed that his girlfriend Sarah Richards was pregnant with their first child.

In 2019, Louis Smith, Harry Judd, Aston Merrygold and Jay McGuiness starred in the a stage show Rip It Up.

On 9 October 2019, the BBC revealed that Aston Merrygold would join the cast of CBBC's comedy drama Almost Never playing Jordan, the new manager of The Wonderland.

Aston Merrygold on Strictly Come Dancing

In 2017, Aston Merrygold became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.

He was paired with Janette Manrara.

They were the sixth couple to be eliminated.
