Who is Danny John-Jules?
He was born in London in 1960, to Dominican parents, and trained at the Omnibus Theatre Company and Anna Scher Children’s Theatre.Danny John-Jules is best known as an actor playing Cat in the TV comedy series Red Dwarf and Dwayne in the drama series Death in Paradise.
His film credits include Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
His stage credits include Barnum, Cats and Starlight Express.
Danny and his wife Petula Langlais have two children, one of whom Dante also appeared in Death in Paradise.
In 2018, Danny John-Jules became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
He was partnered with Amy Dowden.
They were the seventh pair to be voted off Strictly.
