Lauren Steadman's Biography

Who is Lauren Steadman?

She was born without a right forearm on 18 December 1992 in Peterborough.

Lauren started swimming at a young age and represented Great Britain in the Paralympic Games as a swimmer in 2008 and 2012.

The first of those Games was in Beijing and Lauren was just 15 years old.

Encouraged by her uncle. she switched to triathlon and gained a silver medal in the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to her sporting achievements, Lauren Steadman has gained a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Business.

In 2018, she became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.

She was partnered with AJ Pritchard. They came fifth.
