Who is Richie Anderson?
He went to school at Uplands in Smethwick and went on to study journalism at the University of Leeds.
Richie worked his way up from doing work experience at BBC WM (West Midlands) to presenting his own show there.
He is also known for reading the travel news on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 show.
Richie Anderson made a short film for BBC One's The One Show, in which he came out to his football team-mates at Coombs Wood F.C. The film won a Royal Television Society (RTS) award.
He has also been part of the BBC teams providing coverage of events such as the Eurovision Song Contest and the Platinum Jubilee.
In 2022, Richie Anderson became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
He was paired with Giovanni Pernice. They were a surprise early departure, being the second couple to be voted off.
In 2023, he was one of the contestants on Celebrity Masterchef.
