Kai Widdrington's Biography

Kai Widdrington, whose father was a professional footballer, took up dancing at the age of nine and was World Junior Latin American champion by the age of 14.

He appeared in Britain's Got Talent in 2012 and has been a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars in Ireland since 2017.

In July 2021, the Mirror reported that Kai had broken up with fellow dancer Giulia Dotta.

Subsequently, he went out with Nadiya Bychkova.

In 2021 he became one of the professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing. At the time he shared a flat in London with Strictly dancer Giovanni Pernice.

Kai Widdrington has a YouTube channel.

Kai and his partner AJ Odudu reached the last three of Strictly Come Dancing but they had to pull out of the final because of AJ suffering a foot injury.

In 2022, he was paired with Kaye Adams on Strictly Come Dancing. They were the first couple to be eliminated.

Kai was partnered by Alexandra Mardell for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special 2022.

In Strictly 2023, he was paired with Angela Rippon. They got to Blackpool, but went out at that stage, coming seventh.
