Who is JJ Chalmers?
He is best known as a television presenter, former Royal Marine and Invictus Games medallist.
In 2020, he became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing. He was paired with Amy Dowden. They came sixth.
JJ's career as a Royal Marine Commando was cut short after he was injured in an explosion in Afghanistan.
Subsequently he competed in the 2014 Invictus Games where he captained the Trike Cycling team and won three medals including a gold medal for the Men’s IRecB1 Recumbent Circuit Race.
In 2016 he was a presenter for the Rio Paralympics and has anchored coverage of the Invictus Games since 2017.
JJ Chalmers is an ambassador for both Help For Heroes and The Invictus Games.
In 2023, he was one of the celebrities to appear on the Channel 5 series No Place Like Home.
