Who is Max George?

Before embarking on a career in the music world, Max George was a footballer. However, his career was cut short by an injury.

He was in the band Avenue who appeared on the X Factor, however it was with The Wanted, which started in 2009, that he gained widespread public attention.

Also in The Wanted were Tom Parker, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, and Nathan Sykes.

Their debut single, All Time Low got to No. 1 in the U.K. singles chart.

The Wanted had nine top-10 singles in the UK.

However, they broke up in 2014.

Max George moved to the USA and starred as Clint in the sixth season of Glee.

Subsequently, he became a solo artist.

He has dated Michelle Keegan, Carrie Baker, and more recently Stacey Giggs.

In 2020, Max George became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing. He was paired with Dianne Buswell.

The Wanted's Jay McGuiness had appeared in Strictly in 2015. However, Max could not replicate Jay's feat in winning Strictly instead he and Dianne were the third couple to be voted off.

In 2021 The Wanted reunited after Tom Parker was diagnosed with a brain tumour. They released a greatest hits album and performed on tour.

After Tom Parker died, The Wanted released a new version of Gold Forever, entitled 'Gold Forever (For Tom)' with all the proceeds going to The Brain Tumour Charity.
