Erin Boag was born on March 17 1975 in Auckland, New Zealand.

She started dance classes at three.

Erin, who specialises in ballroom dancing, came to England via Australia.

Erin Boag's offical site described how she had to take four separate jobs to support herself in London and was once down to her last pound.

Erin's professional dance partner was Anton Du Beke.

Together with Anton and Alan Harding, Erin was a choreographer for the stage show Simply Ballroom.

Erin Boag loves the quickstep and hates the Paso Doble, however she and Austin Healey scored the highest score ever in the paso in Strictly Come Dancing with 38, with 10s from Arlene, Bruno and Craig and an 8 from Len.

In 2009, Erin Boag and Anton Du Beke trained school children in dancing in Sky 1's Strictly High School.

Erin Boag is married to business consultant Peter O'Dowd.

In 2019, Erin returned to her 'choreography corner' spot on Strictly: It Takes Two.

Strictly Come Dancing

In 2012, Erin Boag was paired with Richard Arnold in Strictly Come Dancing series 10.

They were the sixth couple to be voted off the show.

In 2011, Erin partnered Rory Bremner in Strictly Come Dancing.

They were the third couple to be voted off.

In series 8 of Strictly Come Dancing, Erin Boag was paired with Peter Shilton. They were the third couple eliminated.

In series 7 of Strictly Come Dancing, Erin Boag partnered Ricky Groves. They were voted off in week 10.

In series 6 of Strictly Come Dancing, Erin Boag partnered Austin Healey. They performed extremely well, however 2008 was a very tough year, and Erin and Austin ended up fourth.

In series five of Strictly Come Dancing, Erin Boag was the dance partner of Willie Thorne, however they were eliminated in the third week.

Erin Boag was Colin Jackson's dancing partner in Strictly Come Dancing series 3, having got to fourth in series one with Martin Offiah, and third in series two with Julian Clary. Erin continued to improve her finishing position when she and Colin Jackson finished second.

In series 4 of Strictly Come Dancing, Erin Boag partnered Peter Schmeichel, but although they improved through the series, the pair were voted off in the seventh programme.
