Who is Nigel Havers?

Nigel Havers was born on 6 November 1951.

His grandfather, Sir Cecil Havers, was a High Court judge, and Nigel Havers's father, Lord Havers, was Attorney General and later Lord Chancellor.

Nigel Havers has appeared in numerous films and TV dramas. Some of his most famous roles include playing Lord Andrew Lindsay in the film Chariots of Fire and playing Ralph Ernest Gorse, a womanising conman, in the TV series, The Charmer.

His more recent credits include Lunch Monkeys on BBC Three, the US drama series Brothers & Sisters, and playing escort Lewis Archer in Coronation Street.

Havers has been married three times. Whilst he was still married to Carolyn Cox, he had an affair with Polly Williams / Bloomfield, who became his second wife.

After she died, there was a dispute over her estate

His third wife, Georgiana Bronfman used to be married to media tycoon Edgar Bronfman, one of the richest men in the world.

In 2010, Nigel Havers became one of the celebrities on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, however shortly afterwards he walked out of the show.

In 2017, it was announced that Nigel Havers had been cast alongside Johnny Vegas in UKTV Gold's Murder on the Blackpool Express.

He has written an autobiography Playing with Fire, published in 2006.

In 2019, he co-hosted with Sally Lindsay the Channel Five series Posh Hotels with Sally & Nigel.

In Decmber 2019, the BBC announced that Nigel Havers would host a new BBC One series The Bidding Room.

In 2020 he played General Ransom in Channel Five's remake of All Creatures Great and Small.
