Who is Tina O'Brien?

Tina O'Brien was born in Rusholme, Manchester on 7 August 1983.

She had parts in The Ward and Clocking Off, before joining Coronation Street when she was just 16 years old.

In Coronation Street, Tina O'Brien played Sarah-Louise Platt for eight years.

In the process, she won the National TV Award for Most Popular Newcomer in 2000 and a TV Quick best actress award in the same year.

In 2003 she started going out with Ryan Thomas who played her character's husband Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street.

They had a daughter Scarlett in October 2008, but a year later Tina and Ryan split up.

In 2010 Tina O'Brien was cast in the BBC1 drama Waterloo Road.

Also, in 2010, in spite of the fact she used to suffer from panic attacks on live shows, Tina O'Brien was paired with Jared Murillo in Strictly Come Dancing.

In week 3 of Strictly Come Dancing it was announced that Tina O'Brien and Jared Murillo would have a bye to the next round after she was diagnosed with chicken pox.

However, the following week Tina O'Brien and Jared Murillo became the fourth couple to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing.

In 2015 onwards, she returned to her role as Sarah-Louise Platt in Coronation Street.

She is engaged to Adam Crofts. They have a son called Beau.
