Joanne Clifton's Biography
Joanne Clifton joined the team of professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, just one year after her brother Kevin Clifton, who partnered Susanna Reid in 2013. Joanne and Kevin are the first siblings to participate in Strictly Come Dancing.
Joanne's accolades include being World Ballroom Showdance Champion, five-time British Champion, three-time Italian Champion, European Professional Champion and champion of the World Dancesport Games.
She started out at Cliftons Dance Academy, a dance school in Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Stallingborough and Immingham, which is run by her parents, Keith and Judy.
In 2014, Joanne Clifton was paired with Scott Mills in Strictly Come Dancing.
They were the fifth pair to voted off.
In 2016, Joanne Clifton was partnered with Ore Oduba in Strictly Come Dancing.
Joanne and Ore won the Strictly final beating runners-up Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton; and Danny Mac and Otile Mabuse.
In 2016 she was cast as Millie in the UK tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2017.
In June 2017, it was revealed that Joanne Clifton was leaving Strictly Come Dancing.
