Who is Scott Mills?

Scott Mills was born in Southampton on 28 March 1974.

At 16, he joined Power FM becoming the youngest radio presenter in the UK.

Subsequently he was a DJ at GWR FM in Bristol, Piccadilly Key 103 in Manchester, and Heart FM in London.

In 1998 Scott Mills started hosting the Radio 1 early breakfast show and subsequently a variety of slots at the station.

In 2001 he came out publicly as gay.

In 2014 Scott Mills was paired with Joanne Clifton on Strictly Come Dancing.

They were the fifth pair to voted off.

In October 2019, the BBC announced that Scott Mills would host a new weekly show on BBC Radio 5 live as part of a new weekend line-up.

In 2022, Scott Mills completed The Great Scott Tread Mills Challenge - walking, jogging and running for 24 hours on a treadmill for BBC Children in Need 2022.

In 2024, Scott Mills and his husband (fiance at the time of filming) Sam Vaughan won Celebrity Race Across the World.
