Vanessa Feltz's Biography
Her father was in the underwear business.
She went to school at Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls in London, and then studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, where she attained a First Class Honours degree in English.
She married a doctor when she was just 21. They had two daughters Allegra and Saskia before they split up.
After University, Vanessa Feltz worked at The Jewish Chronicle and then The Daily Mirror.
She presented on The Big Breakfast and appeared on This Morning with Richard and Judy, but her big breakthrough was getting her own chat show at ITV. She moved to the BBC, but after a furore over actors posing as guests (without Vanessa Feltz’s knowledge), the show was cancelled.
Although she left BBC television, she ended up being a long-term presence on BBC Radio with a phone-in show on BBC London 94.9 and won Speech Radio Personality of the Year at the Sony Radio Academy Awards in 2009.
Over the years Vanessa has appeared on numerous reality TV shows including Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Fit Club.
Vanessa Feltz's height is 5ft 2in. She is engaged to Ben Ofoedu, a musician and songwriter.
In 2013 she became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
Vanessa was paired with James Jordan.
They were the second pair to be voted off.
In September 2020, the BBC revealed that Vanessa Feltz was their seventh highest paid presenter, earning around £405,000 a year for her work on Radio 2 Early Breakfast Show, Radio London Breakfast Show, and as Radio 2 cover.
In July 2022, Vanessa Feltz revealed she was leaving her two BBC radio programmes after more than two decades.
