Nikita Kanda is the host of the BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast Show. She got the job permanently in January 2023, having covered in the role for six months after Harpz Kaur departed.
Nikita first joined Asian Network in 2021 as a Saturday afternoon host alongside Mistah Islah, before moving on to the Breakfast Show.
She has been nominated for Presenter of the Year at the Asian Media Awards.
Nikita has also reported on BBC One’s The One Show.
Before joining BBC Asian Network, Nikita Kanda studied film and screen media and worked on ZEE TV and the drivetime show on Asian Star 101.6FM.
In 2023, she was paired with Gorka Marquez on Strictly Come Dancing. They were the second couple to be voted off.
