Who is Carol Kirkwood?
Carol Kirkwood was born on 29 May 1962 in Morar, Scotland.She attended Lochaber High School in Fort William and then studied Commerce at Edinburgh Napier, after which she joined the BBC as a secretary.
After stints in recruitment and presenting on a local cable channel, she started presenting the weather, notably for BBC Breakfast, for which she gets up every morning at 2.45am.
Carol Kirkwood has also hosted The Weather Show for the BBC News Channel, and was a co-presenter on BBC One's The Great British Weather.
She has also been a regular on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.
Carol Kirkwood has won the award for best weather presenter from the Television and Radio Industry Club (TRIC) numerous times.
In 2015 she became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
She was paired with Pasha Kovalev. They were the sixth couple to be voted off.
In May 2020, she was injured after being knocked off her by bike by a car.
In December 2023, Carol married her partner Steve.
