Tristan MacManus's Biography

Tristan MacManus heralds from County Wicklow in Ireland.

In 2014, he joined Strictly Come Dancing, although he had been a regular on Dancing with the Stars in the US, partnering the likes of Nancy Grace, Gladys Knight, Dorothy Hamill, Valerie Harper and Pamela Anderson.

Tristan MacManus has competed around Europe, winning numerous amateur competitions, as well as dancing in stage shows such as Oliver, Aladdin, Simply Ballroom, Dirty Dancing, Burn the Floor, and Floorplay.

He has also taught Ballroom and Latin dancing.

In January 2014, he married Australian actress Tahyna Tozzi.

Later in the year in his first season on Strictly Come Dancing Tristan MacManus was paired with Jennifer Gibney. They were the second couple to be voted off.

In 2015, he was partnered with Jamelia. They were the eighth couple to be voted off.

In April 2016, his wife Tahnya Tozzi gave birth to their first child.

In June 2016, the BBC confirmed their line-up of professional dancers for the 2016 season did not include Tristan MacManus.
