Nick Knowles worked for builders and played in bands before establishing himself as a TV presenter.

Nick Knowles has amassed numerous TV credits, including DIY SOS, which saw him break through into many people's awareness.

Other notable credits include the BBC's City Hospital and ITV's Find A Fortune.

In 2006, Nick Knowles signed a two-year deal to work exclusively with the BBC, which led to him hosting the notable Mission Africa.

Nick Knowles gave his own take on Mission Africa, after receiving a critical review from Sam Wollaston.

Knowles made other trips to Africa for TV. In 2003, he went to Zambia for Comic Relief and Nick Knowles caught TB, having himself spent three days with a man who was dying of it.

Nick Knowles's passions include motorbikes.

Nick Knowles co-presented Last Man Standing on BBC One along with Myleene Klass.

In January 2016, it was revealed that Nick Knowles and his wife Jessica Moor had split up. Thy had married in September 2012.

In July 2017, the BBC revealed that Nick Knowles earned over £300,000 from licence fee revenue in their financial year 2016/7.

In 2018, he became one of the contestants on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

He came sixth.

In 2021 he presented Nick Knowles’ Big House Clearout and the following year he hosted the second series on Channel 5.

In 2024, he became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
