Montell Douglas is the first British woman to compete at a Summer and a Winter Olympics in two different sports.

She competed as a sprinter in the Beijing Olympics in 2008, reaching the second round of the 100m. Montell once held the British woman’s record for the fastest 100m sprint.

Fourteen years later, she was the brakewoman in Mica McNeill’s two-woman bobsleigh team at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

She told Sports for Champions that her "greatest challenge came from when I had surgery on my knee" and she had to relearn how to walk.

In 2024, she appeared as Fire in BBC One's Gladiators, and in the same year became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
